R&D Engineer Thermal Separation (m/f) at BASF

You will develop new process concepts and evaluate those economically. Hereby, you will perform the modeling, simulation and experimental validation of process steps as well as complete processes. You will define, initiate and manage projects and process developments and therefore clarify technical, patent-related as well as economical conditions in cooperation with your interdisciplinary project team. Furthermore, you will network with operational units and scientific partners and monitor new methods, market trends and competitors activities at all times. Beyond this, you will initiate risk assessments and ensure the adherence to health and safety regulations and environmental protection standards. Qualification You have earned an above average degree in Process or Chemical Engineering; a PhD in a relevant discipline would be a surplus. You have gained knowledge in thermodynamics and thermal separation processes, in particular distillation, as well as expert and application knowhow in process engineering. You are, in addition, highly familiar with process simulations. You have gained sound knowledge in process modeling and analysis as well as in safety, health and environmental processes. Presentation skills and experience in project management complete your profile. You like to work in interdisciplinary teams and perform well as a team player. You constantly strive for achievement and possess excellent German and English language skills.
